The Bloody Massacre

Boston’s Deadly Start of the American Revolution

On a cold night in early March of 1770, a dustup by British Colonials in the streets outside the Boston Customs House became the unsuspecting flashpoint that many argue was the start of one of the most audacious actions in world history… the American Revolution.

What started with snowballs ended in gunfire and the death of five Bostonians. Stoked by the
iconic engraving by Paul Revere, the moment became a rallying point for a people ready for
change.

Join us for part one of our three-part series “Road to Independence – Three Sparks That Ignited a Revolution” as MNTx celebrates America 250 with this special speakers series. Presented by award-winning historian and Museum of North Texas History CEO, Jeremy Davis, Road to Independence is a great way to kickoff a historic summer!

This month’s Bite of History is Thursday, April 30th. Doors open at 11:30am and presentation starts promptly at 12:00pm.

Tickets are $10 for MNTx Members and $15 for the general public. Tickets are expected to go fast, with only 40 tickets available for this month’s presentation. Tickets are available for purchase in person at the Museum or online
