Meet the Team Behind the History

Jeremy L. Davis, M.A.

Chief Executive Officer

Jeremy L. Davis is the Chief Executive Officer of the Museum of North Texas History in Wichita Falls. A descendant of early 20th Century Wichita County natives, Jeremy has been in and around museums for over 30 years. From summers in junior high and high school spent volunteering with the Omniplex (now Science Museum Oklahoma) and the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame to a lifetime visiting museums and cultural institutions around the world, he knew the museum field was where he wanted to build a career. After a multi-faceted career in law enforcement and management in the private sector, Jeremy returned to college to pursue his dream of working in the cultural heritage field. A distinguished graduate of Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma, Jeremy went on to pursue a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from The University of Oklahoma, where he specialized in Museum Administration and Curation.

Today, in addition to his leadership of the Museum of North Texas History, Jeremy serves as the Regent Pro Tem for Museum Outreach of the Foundation for Coast Guard History, aiding in development of a museum network in support of the National Coast Guard Museum, is an Advisor to the Texas America250 Commission, and is the proud Lt. Governor for the Texas-Oklahoma District’s Division 18 of Kiwanis International. An award-winning historian and member of the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society, he is a serving member of the United States Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol, most recently as a member of the National History Staff.

Jeremy recently retired from the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary with 18 years of service. Serving multiple terms as Flotilla Commander & Division Board member in Oklahoma’s Division 16, over a decade as the State’ Academy Admissions Partner Program Coordinator, he is a recipient of multiple Federal awards including a Presidential Unit Citation, the DHS Outstanding Unit Award, four Coast Guard Unit Commendations, and three Meritorious Team Commendations. In recognition of his extensive community service, Jeremy was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Steven L. Beshear in March of 2012, the Commonwealth’s highest award for service.

Morgan M. Meyer, B.F.A.

Director of Learning & Engagement

Morgan M. Meyer is the newest member of the Museum of North Texas History team, joining the staff in June of 2025. With a rich background in art education, graphic design, and museum studies, Morgan brings a unique blend of creativity, academic knowledge, and hands-on experience to the role. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas, where she graduated Cum Laude in 2012. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Museum Studies at The University of Oklahoma, with an expected graduation in 2026.

Before joining the museum, Morgan served as a secondary art teacher with Wichita Falls ISD, teaching both middle and high school students and leading efforts in portfolio development, art competitions, and on-campus exhibitions. She also held a similar teaching role in Garland ISD, where she was actively involved in regional art festivals and events. Earlier in her career, Morgan worked as a graphic artist at National Banner Company in Dallas, where she created large-format promotional designs and worked closely with clients to bring their visions to life.

Morgan designs and oversees a range of public programs and educational initiatives aimed at engaging visitors of all ages.

Leanne Ray, B.A.

Curator

With a lifelong passion for history and culture, Leanne Ray brings a global perspective and hands-on creativity to her role as Curator at the Museum of North Texas History. After a distinguished 23-year career in the United States Air Force, which allowed her to explore museums and historical sites around the world, Leanne chose to make Wichita Falls her home. Her deep appreciation for public history led her to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in History at Midwestern State University–Texas, where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.

Leanne draws upon her extensive international experience as a museum visitor, combining academic training with a keen eye for audience engagement. She is dedicated to designing and curating exhibits that are not only historically accurate but also visually compelling and accessible to a wide range of visitors. Leanne is especially skilled in exhibit fabrication, often constructing custom sets and display elements that integrate artistic detail with historical storytelling. Her creative vision and practical craftsmanship allow her to transform historical narratives into immersive experiences that resonate with guests of all ages.

Committed to lifelong learning and community outreach, Leanne plays a vital role in the museum’s mission to preserve and share the rich heritage of North Texas. Whether researching local stories, designing engaging displays, or helping visitors connect with history on a personal level, she continues to enrich the cultural life of the region through her work.

William Ray

Collections Manager

As a military dependent, William Ray spent his formative years traveling across the United States, where he developed a deep appreciation for the diversity of American history and culture.

William brings a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to preservation in his role as Collections Manager. He is responsible for the care, organization, and documentation of the museum’s artifacts and archival materials, ensuring their longevity for future generations. With a focus on accessibility and engagement, William has played a vital role in designing exhibits that resonate with younger audiences to enhance storytelling and visitor experience. His efforts help bridge the gap between generations, making history relevant and exciting for all ages.

William continues to expand the museum’s reach through thoughtful curation, collaborative exhibit development, and a dedication to both preserving the past and inspiring curiosity about it.

Ginger Martin, B.S.

Admin Clerk/Visitor Services

Ginger Martin joined the Museum of North Texas History in June 2024, bringing with her a wealth of community spirit and organizational expertise. A proud graduate of the historic Booker T. Washington High School and a dedicated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Ginger embodies a legacy of leadership, service, and excellence.

As the first face many visitors see, Ginger’s warm smile and welcoming presence help set a positive tone for each museum experience. In her role as Administrative Clerk, she manages a variety of essential tasks that keep daily operations running smoothly, including staff scheduling, public inquiries, and bookkeeping. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and passion for history make her an invaluable member of the museum team.

Ginger is committed to fostering a friendly and accessible environment for all guests and takes great pride in supporting the museum’s mission to preserve and share the rich heritage of North Texas.
