Children’s Programs

Children’s Programs

Our children’s programs spark curiosity and creativity through hands-on learning rooted in local history and culture. Whether it’s a camp, workshop, or family event, young visitors are invited to step into the stories of the past in fun and meaningful ways.

Upcoming offerings will Include:

  • COMING IN 2026! History Explorers Camp – Summer sessions for kids ages 7–12 with crafts, games, and themed activities.

  • Storytime Saturdays – Fun, interactive readings and mini museum tours for ages 4–8.

  • History Detectives – Hands-on workshops where kids solve mysteries using museum artifacts.

  • STEAM & History Days – Combining science, art, and history in age-appropriate, curriculum-aligned programs.

  • Holiday & Heritage Events – Family-friendly seasonal programs celebrating traditions and milestones.

Programs are designed with TEKS standards in mind and support classroom learning.

We welcome school groups, homeschool co-ops, civic organizations, and tour groups of all ages for engaging, educational visits.

What we offer:

  • Guided Museum Tours – Explore local history with a trained docent, tailored to your group’s age and interests.

  • Interactive Activities – Add on a hands-on experience, scavenger hunt, or artifact handling session.

  • Curriculum-Connected Field Trips – Aligned with TEKS for social studies and history, available for grades K–12.

  • Senior & Civic Groups – Custom presentations and behind-the-scenes access for adult groups.
